Torre del Mar is situated east of Malaga airport either on the A7 Autopista or along the N-340 coastal road via Chilches, Benjarafe and Niza Beach. The beach in Torre del Mar is one of the biggest in Spain and has about 20 or so chiringuito's (beach bars) serving all different types of food including the popular sardine on a spit.

Torre del Mar has many atractions including the Aqua park that is situated by the big shopping mall situated just off the A7 and on the way to Velez Malaga. If you are planning a day out it is worth having a drive up past Velez-Malaga to Lake Vinuela, you will find several restaurants over looking the Lake the second restaurant on the right specialises in barbecued meats and is a big favourite with the Spanish.
