Malaga is the gateway to the Costa del Sol and Costa Tropical, if you are arriving by airoplane then you will land at Malaga airport. Malaga is often overlooked by your average traveller who is visiting Spain like many others on a package Holiday. The benfit of renting your own Villa or apartment is the freedom to explore. Malaga is best explored on foot, or if you have the car leave it in one of the many car parks (they are inexpensive) grab a map and explore the many backstreets and alleyways.

Malaga has an enormous "El Corte Ingles" (Like John Lewis) and on the top floor is an excellent buffet style restaurant that is excellent value, also check out the cake shop. If tapas is your thing then Malaga is definitely worth putting your walking shoes on for, as there are over 500 in Malaga alone! The oldest Tapas bar in Malaga is Antigua Casa de la Guardia Located in the centre of Malaga.
